HELLOOO IGNITE!! If you didn’t catch our email earlier this week, we’re excited to announce our first event of 2026~

After much reflection on what this community may need in the upcoming year, we’ve decided on the overarching theme of REST for this year (+ this event). The team spent our core team retreat reflecting on verses Matthew 11:28-30 and John 4:4-18, both holy reminders of how Jesus is the only one who can give us true rest.

Resting in Christ is a state of being rather than a season. A state of being that comes from the knowledge that our identity lies in Him—not things of this world. Through this state of being, we are given the freedom to fully rest in our identity as the Beloved.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves.”

REST — February 28, 2026

BELOVED IGNITE! // We are so back with our last‼️Ignite of 2025 and it’s going to be a special one… ALL high school youth are invited to attend!! Say WHAAA. On September 27, Christus hosted an event called Korean Youth Day (KYD), where 100+ youth gathered at Christ Cathedral for a day of fellowship, renewal, and empowerment. To continue the fire of KYD, Ignite has decided to host not only the young adults, but also the youth for this last Ignite of the year! Can you believe it?

The evening’s theme is “ECHO” — inspired by that Sunday’s gospel from John 2:13-22. The team has been pondering about what it means to have “zeal” for God, to proclaim the Kingdom of God, and what it truly means to “remember that He had said this (the temple of His Body”). As you prepare your hearts for this evening, join us in reflecting on what it means for you to echo these words.

Dinner and an opportunity for fellowship will be provided for all youth, youth ministers/leaders, and parents prior to our general Ignite programming with a special seating section reserved for our youth + guardians during Adoration. Please note that a youth minister, youth leader, or parent from each parish must be present at the event for the youth of that parish to participate. SEE YOU ALL SO SOON!! 🤍

Ignite Fam! As a special collaboration with Totus Tuum, we present to you our upcoming Ignite event on August 16th at St. Dominic Catholic Church, “PURE.” Inspired by that Sunday’s Gospel, Luke 12:49-53, we encounter a rather feisty version of Jesus, who says “Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.”

These words remind us that following God’s call often creates tension with the world and sometimes even within our closest relationships. Yet this tension serves a deeper purpose—it refines our hearts and clarifies our intentions, drawing us closer to the holiness God desires for us. Just as Jesus lived with perfect freedom and truth while fulfilling his mission, we too are invited to embrace our calling with courage and authenticity.

The friction we experience becomes an opportunity for purification—sanctifying us for the work God has prepared.

This is a special one, Ignite!! Our awesome Totus Tuum has specially curated this night with us, so we hope you can join us. We miss you!! Can’t wait to see you all there. RSVP in the link on our bio or via our email that was sent!

🚨CALLING ALL MUSIC MINISTERS🚨 Hi everyone! Long time no Ignite. We have been secretly (not so secretly if you’ve been reading our emails 😉) planning for our very own, for the first time ever… in our community… a MUSIC MINISTRY RETREAT ‼️ The team and our spiritual director have been very intentional in curating this retreat;
in noticing some “gaps” in our music ministries and in supporting our Ignite Worship Collective’s Mission Statement, we are in hopes that this retreat can help us to spend time connecting with other music ministers, and delve deeper into our why/our own spiritual journeys. Meals + snacks to be provided! Please RSVP if you will be attending in our link in bio so we can gauge # of participants and learn how to better serve you throughout this retreat. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!! We miss you all!

02.22.25 — Recap of Ignite at USC ‘25. 🥹 Thinking of you all in the season of Lent, pondering upon how this community has grown to be and continues to be so incredibly beautiful.. God is good is all we can say. We are so in awe, always. Thank you to all who came out; we could never be this community without you all. May you all be having a fruitful Lent, one in which you walk with God, surrendering whatever it is to bring you closer to Him. We love you all so much. ❤️

“HE IS LORD” — In the Gospel of Luke 6:27-38, Jesus calls us to love perfectly like Him. Now at first glance, if you remember hearing this Gospel before, you may have tilted your head a bit at,” To the person who strikes you on one cheek, offer the other one as well.” I remember growing up hearing this, going, “Jesus, but how?“ For much of this Gospel that proceeds to seem utopian and unrealistic for our human brains to comprehend, through Christ and His example, we realize how innately beautiful and worthwhile His perfect love is. There is freedom that comes from saying, “Yes,” to His perfect love— let us ponder and strive to follow His ways.

Friends, are you ready?? We hope you can join us in this time of preparation and an opportunity to grow deeper with God at our next Ignite!! Awwww yeah, it’s time. We’ve missed you! Join us for another evening of praise, adoration, confession, community, and Jesus! FELLOWSHIP & FOOD ON-SITE AFTER. 👀
