American Citizens for Justice - ACJ They yelled racial slurs and accused him of being "one of those J**s that stole our jobs," and beat him to death with a baseball bat.

ACJ/AACJ is an Asian American nonprofit organization that provides victims of discrimination with legal, social and economic resources, and advocates for immigrants to gain full participation in the political process. American Citizens for Justice is a non-profit 501c3 organization that was created by the family and civil rights attorneys after the 1982 hate crime murder of Chinese American Vincent Chin in Highland Park, MI. Recently fired Chrysler supervisor, Robert Ebens, and his stepson, Michael Nitz, approached Chin in the parking lot of a bar where he was celebrating his bachelor party. Ebens and Nitz merely received a fine and probation, sparking outrage nationwide and leading to protests that helped spur the start of the Asian American civil rights movement. Civil rights attorneys advocated, and successfully, achieved, to have the case prosecuted as the first federal hate crime to ever involve an Asian American victim, setting a legal precedent. These same attorneys helped to create American Citizens for Justice. The organization today works to combat xenophobia, hate in all its forms, and provides legal, social, and economic resources to victims of discrimination, and advocates for immigrants to gain full participation in the political process.

ACJ believes that in times like these, community is everything🤍
With everything happening in our communities around immigration and ICE, ACJ took the initiative to step up, because this is exactly the moment when we must come together and look out for one another.
We have put together care packages for those affected, and we want you to know that you are not alone. If you or someone you know needs a care package, please reach out to us. We are here for you.
If you are in a position to donate and support our efforts, help is always welcome and needed.

Every contribution makes a difference in the life of someone going through an incredibly difficult time.

📩 Contact us through DM or email; whether you need support or want to give it, we want to hear from you.

‼️URGENT‼️
On April 1st, the Supreme Court is hearing a key case that determines our right to birthright citizenship under President Trump's executive order.

We believe that the President should not have the power to make decisions on who is a citizen and who is not, because it is a fundamental right for all.

If you live in or nearby Washington DC, show up to the rally in front of the Supreme Court at 10 AM! (RSVP: bit.ly/brc-dcrally4-1)
If not, tune into the court hearing (supremecourt.gov/oral_arguments/live)

Show up to defend!
