Just rescued 💗 starved but still sweet ❤️🩹✨
Today we were notified by our friends at Genesee County Animal Control that a dog came in who was skin & bones, covered with urine/feces, sores & lots of bumps/bruises who needed to follow a starvation protocol. His condition & placement of his sores/wounds suggests he was crated for a long period of time.
We are pleased to welcome Leo 🦁 to our POET family; Leo, your future is already looking brighter after a few hours. He received a medicated bath, skin treatment & nail trim! He has had two TINY meals & successfully gone potty.
We have no idea how Leo ended up like this… or his breed; he is quite unique looking & is estimated to be 2-5 based on the decay of his teeth.
Leo has no idea how to play. He looks at you like you’re going to hurt him when he goes potty. He has visible signs of neglect. He was unsure of us at first, but quickly realized his life had changed & became our new BFF 💕
We have no idea what Leo will need in terms of care, but we know that we will do whatever he needs & shower him with love, affection, comfort along the journey.
