A letter from our outgoing PTA President, Lauren Larkin - thank you for leading us these past two years, Lauren Larkin!!

“It has been an absolute honor to stand up each month at the monthly meetings and throughout the last two years and represent the parents of WES. I love this school and see so many amazing parents and caretakers working hard to make their student’s lives better by showing up. The past two years have been nothing short of amazing and I thank you all for letting me have this opportunity.

The faculty and staff here are incredible and so supportive of the PTA. We are so lucky to have an admin team that always finds a way to make our ideas a reality. My executive board is a group of amazing women who go above and beyond for this school and I’m fairly certain the 14 of us could conquer ANYTHING you could throw at us!

To all of your kids that run up to me in the halls and give me a hug, high five, or a warm “Hi, Mrs. Larkin” - they make me smile on the regular and make me feel like a celebrity - you are raising outstanding humans.

To our incoming executive board - I wish you good luck and to have fun and that you don't take this opportunity for granted to be part of the hustle and bustle here at WES - you are going to miss it when it's gone.

I am so grateful I've been able to lead this group and I will miss you all so much. This WES community is truly special. Although my role as president has come to an end I hope to still be around for the next two years while we have one more Larkin here! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me steer this ship! 💚”

Since 1968, the Westlake Council of PTAs has had a proud tradition of awarding scholarships to deserving Westlake High School seniors who plan to pursue higher education at a college, university or technical school.

For the Class of 2026, the Westlake Council of PTAs awarded $28,000 in scholarships - 28 $1000 on behalf of each of our units and from your WCPTAs!
