Wigs for Kids is a non-profit organization that seeks to serve children experiencing medical hair loss by creating Hair Replacement Systems made from real hair. For more than 30 years, Wigs for Kids has been providing Hair Replacement Systems and support for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, burns and other medical issues. Wigs fo

r Kids runs hair donation programs in order to create wigs made from real hair for children in need. We accept hair donations that are 12 or more inches. We cannot accept any chemically treated or colored hair.

On this Best Friends Day, we’re sharing recipient Emily’s story!

Emily first came to Wigs For Kids at age 9 after being diagnosed with alopecia, and by 12 she had lost all of her hair. Her first wig became her “security blanket,” and she named it Wiggala, her best friend 💙

Today, Emily is 24 and now gives back as a spokesperson and volunteer, helping other kids feel seen, confident, and supported just like she once was.
