From writing songs for fun as a kid to recording her own original music in Nashville! ❤️

Finish The Lyrics winner Emmie started writing songs at a young age, but it wasn't until two years ago that she picked up the guitar. Soon, she was writing new songs every week, finding new ways to express herself through music.

Now, as one of our Finish The Lyrics winners, she's getting ready to share her finished song with the world - and we can't wait for you to hear it! 🎸

This is why . Music is such a fun way for people to express themselves creatively. Help us give more people the opportunity to create and express themselves through music by donating at guitarcenterfoundation.org/donate. ❤️

The power of music goes far beyond learning an instrument. 🎺

Ellis Marsalis Center for Music is one of our incredible grantees in New Orleans, where the instruments we’ve donated are helping kids learn, create, and thrive - both musically and academically. ❤️

High expectations can come from a place of love. ❤️

Great music educators don’t just teach students the songs - they show them what they’re capable of: reading music, learning the craft, building discipline, and growing beyond what they thought they could do.

Tag some amazing music educators, just like !

A little live music magic from John Legend and guitarist Stanley Jordan, sharing a special moment with guests at our recent dinner in partnership with Loved01 Cares.

There's nothing quite like experiencing music up close, especially when it brings everyone in the room together. A lovely example of why . ❤️

Hudson's Finish The Lyrics journey, from start to finish! Our judges were thoroughly impressed with everyone who entered our Finish The Lyrics contest last fall, and we were thrilled to announce Hudson Wetzel as one of our two winners.

After being selected, Hudson worked alongside award-winning songwriters Brock Berryhill and Josh Phillips, bringing his original lyrics to life before recording his song at the legendary Blackbird Studio in Nashville.

We created our Finish The Lyrics contest to celebrate creativity, give young songwriters a platform to share their voices, and show them what's possible through music.

We can't wait for you to hear what Hudson created. Stay tuned for the official song release this Friday, October 16!

❤️ PS: Music has the power to inspire creativity, build confidence, and open doors to new possibilities. Help us donate instruments and provide opportunities to communities through our new Facebook link on this post!
