Patient education is a top priority on Operation Walk missions. We host small group classes for patient and their families, much like we do here in the USA.

We teach about surgery and how to prepare for it…such as getting their home ready to make recovery easier, proper skin preparation and medication management, and steps to take after surgery that will maximize their healing and results.

We also have family members help with physical therapy and the recovery process so they will know best practices in helping their loved ones take that new step into a new life.

Did you know we ship about 9,000 pounds of equipment and supplies each trip? Then, we ship about 2,000 pounds of"perpetual" equipment home.

Thanks to all who have donated money to support the shipping costs of these missions. Those funds are critical to our efforts.

On every trip we have a bin of shoes kept on hand for our patients. Our volunteers help them find a new pair to support their first steps into a new life.
