It was truly an honor to meet and recognize this year’s Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame Community Impact Award recipients, Louis Montellese and Elizabeth Sultan, this past Friday.

Both student-athletes have made an incredible difference in their communities through service, leadership, and a commitment to helping others. Their efforts remind us of the powerful impact young people can have when they use sports as a platform to give back.

Some days remind you why we do this. 💙⚾

Today we had the pleasure of meeting the Kings Park Baseball team and presenting them with their grant for finishing 2nd in the Long Island Spring Sports Heroes Challenge.

What stood out most wasn't the award—it was the heart behind their project. By hosting an Inclusion Game and raising money for a sensory room at a local elementary school, these student-athletes found a way to make a real difference in the lives of others.

Congratulations to this amazing group of young leaders. Your commitment to inclusion, kindness, and community is something to be proud of!

🏆 Congratulations to all of the participants and winners of the 2026 L.I. Spring Sports Heroes Video Challenge!

The W20 Foundation’s Team Up 4 Community Program is proud to celebrate the incredible impact Long Island student-athletes, teams, schools, and organizations made throughout the year through community service and leadership.

This year’s winners:
🥇 Trevor Greene – Rocky Point
🥈 Kings Park Baseball
🥉 Sachem East Baseball
Together, participants across Long Island:
✅ Engaged 84,358 youth athletes
✅ Contributed 226,571 volunteer service hours
✅ Generated an estimated $7,882,405 in economic impact
✅ Raised $277,670 for deserving charities

From supporting autism awareness and food drives to preserving veterans’ history and promoting inclusion, these young leaders showed the true power of teamwork and giving back.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a difference in communities across Long Island. 💙

Team Up 4 Community and the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame are proud to recognize two incredible student-athletes whose impact reaches far beyond sports.
⚽️ Elizabeth Sultan – Westhampton Beach HS
🥍 Louis Montellese – Ward Melville HS
Through leadership, resilience, and service, both have turned personal experiences into powerful missions that are changing lives in their communities.
From supporting grieving families through Peter’s Packages to advancing cardiac safety awareness and funding AED Save Stations, these student-athletes are proving that the true power of athletics is found in serving others.

Today we had the privilege of meeting Elizabeth Sultan at Westhampton Beach High School and presenting her with the First Place grant check in recognition of her powerful work through Peter’s Packages.

Born from personal loss, Elizabeth turned grief into purpose—creating a project that supports others, sparks conversations around mental health, and reminds us all of the power of compassion and community. Her strength, leadership, and heart are truly inspiring.

We are so proud to celebrate Elizabeth and the incredible impact she is already making. This is what leadership in action looks like.

Team Up 4 Community founder Steve Webb joined the 2026 MIAA Student Ambassador Huddle to discuss the power of service and help student leaders turn ideas into action. From meaningful conversations to real impact, students took what they learned and led food drives in their own communities to support those in need.
