Westford Swim And Dive Families Westford Swim and Dive is a summer recreational swim and dive team that participates in the Colonial League. We are located at Westford Swim & Tennis Club.

This is an unofficial page organized by swim and dive team families. Ask any Westford Swim and Dive member what they love most and they will most likely tell you that it's the people. The kids and parents form lasting friendships as we, together, create a fun and successful recreational swim team for kids. The team practices at the outdoor Westford Swim & Tennis Club from June to early August. (Ju

ne practices are afterschool and July and August practices are in the morning.) In addition to dual meets and several Colonial League-wide meets, we host team breakfasts and outings, a talent show and other fun activities for families. Swimmers on our team range from age 4-17. In addition to the head coaches, the team is also led by swimmers who have come up through the program and want to give back to the next generation of swimmers. The goal is to help kids learn good swimming technique, improve their times, compete at a high level, and have summer FUN.

Sometimes you just have to cross your fingers and hope. And you luck out. THANK YOU to every family who took the leap and showed up for our end-of-year celebration today. Thank you for bringing desserts and making gift contributions and for coming with a positive attitude. Thanks to the kids who made their own fun, playing on the fields, eating together and just being kids. Thanks to our organizers especially Danielle Caggiano, Kate Smith, Diana Bernstein and Lisa Spinney for the planning and the creativity. Thank you to Kelso for another amazing season and to Becca and our assistant coaches.

A BIG shoutout tonight to one of our WSTC favorites. Congrats to Jeremiah for taking the gold in tonight's Dual County League Diving Championship meet! (An amazing performance for a great athlete who has already broken the school record more than once this season!)

I've had a few people ask recently for recommendations on where else to go for a summer team this upcoming year. Please comment below with other options you know of for outdoor summer teams!

Many people immediately look at Chelmsford Swim & Tennis as an opportunity to stay in the Colonial League. Interested families will need to join the waiting list. The waiting list generally takes two or more years to get off. http://chelmsfordswimandtennis.org

Heritage (in Concord) is another team in our league that people have expressed interest in. I was unable to reach them about how to join the waiting list. I have heard that this team also generally has a multi-year waiting list. https://theheritageclub.org

Russell Mill in Chelmsford also draws a lot of Westford swimmers. They compete in a different league. Meets are generally weeknights. RM is a competitive team. There is a waiting list. It is unclear how many they will be able to take from the list this year. https://russellmill.com

Groton Country Club also has a summer swim team. Practices are early morning Tues - Fri. Meets are TBD based on COVID rules.
