Hi everyone my name is Jamie Holmes and I have been a part of the Stony Brook PTO for the last 4 years and have been a part of WEPTO, the umbrella organization of our school based PTO's for over 10 years.

At Stony Brook School PTO we run an annual 'No-Fuss' Fundraiser to fundraise in lieu of us asking students/parents to sell cookies, wrapping paper or candles. We ask for direct, 100% tax-deductible contributions to reach our $15,000 goal. Our suggested donation is $60 per student or $100 per family, though any amount makes a difference!

We are currently at about 50% of our goal with under 20% of families donating. As a mother of 5, I am very aware of the rising costs and very much understand limitations that families may have, but if you do have the ability to give I would be immensely grateful to not have to keep bothering everyone with emails throughout the month of October.

Your donations directly fund teacher appreciation events like the Muddy Waters coffee truck that came Thursday to treat our staff, academic enrichment programs that provide interactive learning for all 3 grade levels, staff mini-grants that help fund fun projects the kids can do in STEAM, student club supplies and more.

7th Graders will be transitioned back to ancient Egyptian times by the fabulous Paulette Morin. This unique, lively and engaging educational program provides 7th graders with a dynamic approach to learning about ancient Egyptian life. It focuses on exploring what everyday life was like for ancient Egyptians and offers children the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with museum quality replicas of artifacts.

6th Grade author visit with Jack Gantos is one example of what your donation powers~ Jack Gantos is an award winning children’s author who will be visiting Blanchard 6th graders next month to enhance and inform the youngest grade of Blanchard student writers. His real-world approach is practical, inspiring, entertaining and accessible, making him a long-time Blanchard Favorite. This program would not be possible without your support!
