Secret Families of Hamilton County

10/01/2026

🎃 Happy October! Anyone else remember THIS legendary snow day?! ❄️

Believe it or not, we are just over two months away from our favorite day of the year: Secret Families Day on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12!

Every December, our Hamilton County community comes together to deliver a full Christmas—gifts, trees, food, and hope—directly to local families in need.

Here’s how you can get involved this year:

📅 Mark Your Calendar: Secret Families Day is Saturday, Dec 12.
🙋‍♀️ Volunteer: Sign-ups launch later this month! Make sure you’re following our page or checking secretfamilieshc.org so you don't miss the link.
💛 Donate Early: Early contributions directly determine how many local schools and families we can commit to helping. If you’ve supported us in the past, THANK YOU—we would be so grateful for your support again in 2026!

You can donate on our website, via Venmo, or by check. Every dollar stays right here in Hamilton County.

Let’s make 2026 our most impactful year yet!

The RK Locke Foundation has raised over $28,000 to support local charities—and this year, those proceeds will directly help the families we serve during the holiday season. Simply put: their generosity helps make Christmas possible for our neighbors in need!

On Thursday, May 22, 2025 we will once again honor Rich's memory by bringing family and friends together in support of a great cause at the 4th Annual RK Open.    Please join us for a day of golf, food, drinks, and fun to celebrate and remember Rich, all while raising money for causes close to hi...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Because of your generosity, hundreds of children woke up to presents under the tree this morning. Even more importantly, families woke up knowing they are loved and cared for by their neighbors in their community.

Thank you for helping turn compassion into action and for making Christmas brighter across Hamilton County. From our Secret Families family to yours, we wish you a joyful and peaceful Christmas.

🛒 Calling all bargain hunters!

This time of year we're on the lookout for great deals on Christmas supplies. If you spot steals on 100-count lights, ornament sets, or wrapping paper, we’d love for you to pass the tip along via DM or email at [email protected].

Thanks for helping us stretch every dollar a little further—and for thinking of Secret Families while you shop!

As we reflect on Secret Families Day last weekend, we’re filled with gratitude. So many people came together to make the day meaningful and impactful—but it simply would not have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors.

🎄 Wasson Nursery generously provided live Christmas trees for the 12th year so families who wanted one could experience that special holiday tradition.
🛒 Meijer of Westfield went above and beyond—opening their doors early, keeping our volunteers fueled with snacks, dedicating cashiers for our shoppers, and providing a generous cash donation each year.
🏠 CrossRoads Church at Westfield quite literally handed us the keys, allowing us to fully transform their space into our wrapping and delivery headquarters.
✨ Anchor Health Chiropractic and their amazing clients donated and assembled personal care bags and cleaning supplies, ensuring families received essential items along with their gifts.

We are grateful for these organizations and the way they show up for our neighbors in need. Thank you for making Christmas brighter for so many families.

Cold? 🥶 Meh.
Snow? ❄️ Bring it.
Deterrent? Not a chance.

Today was Secret Families Day, and if the weather thought it could slow us down . . . well, it clearly forgot one detail: we were on a mission from God! 😎

Despite the white stuff, over 500 AMAZING volunteers from every corner of our county showed up with willing hands and a whole lot of joy. This was our largest Secret Families Day yet, and it happened because people chose to sacrificially give their time and resources to their fellow neighbors.

To our DONORS — thank you for trusting this mission and giving so generously. Every dollar turned into hope, dignity and Christmas joy for local families. You made this day possible. To our VOLUNTEERS — thank you for braving the elements to shop, wrap and deliver gifts. You didn’t just deliver presents . . . you delivered a reminder that our neighbors are not alone. We are filled with gratitude and so proud of this community.

If you were part of today, SHARE YOUR PICTURES in the comments — we’d love to relive the joy with you!
