Tony LaPorta Memorial Fund

We previously shared with Westfield Y Men’s Club members the passing of longtime Club member Tony LaPorta on April 19th. Our prayers remain with his family during this difficult time. Tony served as a tireless member of the Westfield Area Y Men's Club for over 30 years and cared deeply about the mission of the Y’s Men and the local charities we support.

We have been approached by Tony’s family and friends regarding the ability to make commemorative donations to the Westfield Area Y Men's Club in his memory. The Club is very grateful to be the recipient of any charitable donations given in Tony’s honor.

Established in 1947, the Y’s Men’s mission is to give back to the local community and support organizations, groups and individuals that share its values of respect, responsibility, volunteerism, and youth development. The Club is an all-volunteer NJ non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization. All net proceeds from our Annual Christmas Tree Sale and donations go directly to the many local charities we've supported continuously for over 75 years.

Some of the many local organizations that have benefited from the money raised include the Caring Contact, Children’s Specialized Hospital, Imagine a Center for Coping with Loss, Children’s Dyslexic Center, Resolve Community Counseling, The Elizabeth Coalition, Mobile Meals of Westfield; First Aid Rescue Squads from Westfield, Garwood, Cranford & Scotch Plains; Westfield Neighborhood Council, and The Westfield Area YMCA, including their many youth and family programs.

You are welcome to leave your condolences via email or on our page. Thank you very much for donating to our Club and the local organizations we support.
