Our final week of the summer was one to remember. It's always bittersweet for our staff to bring their summer to a close, but they met the moment and it was a week filled with a lot of laughter and fun as always.

If you or your family were a part of our summer, thank you, thank you, thank you! It was a summer that saw more campers than we have in the last 10 years at Pine Lake, a staff filled with long-time campers that took the step to be staff, and moments that will stick with me for along time as we all experienced God in a loving community again at Pine Lake.

We all need some rest, but we are already planning for summer 2027, too!

Summer camp wrapped up on Friday, but Pine Lake is still a busy place! Cabins are full and today we welcomed South Burr Oak UMC for a worship service by the lake and a potluck in the dining hall!

I gotta share this with everyone. This is what summer camp brings back to the local church.

Two of our summer campers from last week were asked to share about their experience at Lakeshore UMC. The conversation between them and Rev. Carly K***z just made my whole day.

The boys shared about their spiritual growth, their activities, and their eagerness to come back next summer. And Rev. Carly shared about her experiences as well!

These moments of growth and shared experiences are such a gift to the local church, and Pine Lake is so thankful to be a part of it!

I even heard they led "Peace Like A River" at the second service! Amazing work! We are so proud of you both!

It's a million little things that make a camp experience special. This is one I thought of last night:

If you hit a homerun during wiffle ball, you get to sign the ball...and it will hang with the year's summer camp banner for the rest of time.

Some great news! The boardwalk and deck project that so many contributed to is complete!

Enjoy this video showing how this addition enhances access to our waterfront, cook-out area, and more!

Thank you to everyone has contributed to this big project and we look forward to continuing to grow this space for exciting new program uses in the future!

Circuit Week is a special week of camp where we play video games and then we do our best to play the same games in real life!
