Through her Imagination Library, Dolly helped foster a love of reading by putting millions of books into the hands of children.

From writers to published authors! 📚

We had the pleasure of celebrating the winners of the Westfield Library Foundation’s 2026 Children’s Book Writing Contest this afternoon with a special check presentation at the library.

Congratulations to Laney Serrahn, Elisabeth Howard, and Kira Mueting. Each received a $250 prize for their winning stories!

And the best part? Their stories will now be professionally published and added to the Westfield Washington Public Library’s collection for our community to enjoy.

We can’t wait to see their names on the shelves!

The possibilities are endless inside the Annie Gotwald Makerspace and STEM Lab at the Westfield Washington Public Library. Thanks to support from the Westfield Library Foundation, patrons have access to 3D printers that help turn ideas into reality.
