Here is a message from Justin from earlier today:

Well I figured I'd make this public, for those of you that follow my progress ever since I was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago, you probably have noticed that I've been pretty quiet since my last screening back in August. I apologize for the delayed update but during that time they found a spot on my pancreas growing rather rapidly. 2 weeks ago I underwent an endoscopy to look into exactly what we're looking at. I know it raised alot of questions for some of you and myself included. Thankfully we learned that the spot is not cancerous at the time but does have a chance of becoming malignant in the future . With that being said, knowing the risks of future development and the seriousness of pancreatic cancer. We've decided it would be best to have the greater portion of my pancreas removed as a precaution. A rather complicated surgery with a lengthy hospital stay and about a 3 month recovery seem to be in my best interest. So I appreciate all of the of the interest/support its truly overwhelming. I look forward to the next step and spending precious time with my wonderful fiance Heather Marshall, and my supportive family and I promise to update with details as they become available
