It's another Warcats Weekend, and we've got games both days for you! Saturday morning, the Varsity team kicks things off against the Northern Kentucky Norsemen. Puck drops at Easton at 10 AM. Then Sunday, head on out to Springfield and the NTPRD Chiller, where you can watch the JV team face off against the Dayton Stealth Silver. Puck drops for that one at 4:50 PM. Let's go Warcats!

The Warcats teams both faced off against the Cyclones this past Sunday, with mixed results. The Varsity team traded points and came away with a tie. Goals were scored by Landon Hackworth and Judah King, with assists to Liam Berman, Peyton Gilmer and Carson Anderson.

In the JV game, the team fought hard but unfortunately fell by a score of 1-2. The Warcats goal was scored by Braxton Lemon, with Logan Smith notching the assist.

**CORRECTION to prior post: Brice Hague played in both games, after relieving Luca Fink in the 3rd period of the Varsity game due to injury. Luca Fink played the majority of the Varsity game, prior to being injured. Brice faced 45 shots in the JV game and 14 in the Varsity. Luca faced 20 shots.

Happy Saturday, Warcats fans! After taking a night off for Homecoming festivities, our teams are both heading to Chiller Easton tomorrow to face the Cincinnati Cyclones HS teams. The JV team will kick things off at 10:10 vs the Cyclones JV team, before the Varsity takes on the Cyclones Varsity at 11:40. Come on out to Easton and cheer on your Warcats!

In the JV Team's first two games, they split things, bringing home a Win and a Loss.

They started things off against the Dayton Stealth JV, falling by a score of 2-4. Goals were scored by Jonah Newland and Eli Fedorko, with assists going to Taj Beard and Thomas Urhammer. Goalie Luca Fink faced shots.

Then, this past weekend, the JV Warcats picked up their first Win of the season against the Northeast Mavericks JV. In that game, goals were scored by Kolton Noblit and Mason Kinney, with Ryder Osowski notching an assist. Goalies Nathaniel Estep and Bryce Hague shared the net in this game, facing 12 shots total.

Good afternoon, Warcats fans!! We're 1 month into the season now, and both teams have had several games. Going forward, we'll be having weekly wrap-up posts. But with the chaos and excitement of the new season, we're combining the results from the start all into one post for each team. We want to make sure each player gets credit for their contributions, though. So with that in mind, here are the highlights for the Varsity team's opening weekends.

They started things off in Miami for a showcase tournament, where they faced stiff competition from across Southwest Ohio and Indiana.

They started the season with a 2-1 Win against Dayton Stealth. With goals from Logan Reed and Bryson Blackman, assisted by Max Ferjencik, Carson Anderson and Landon Hackworth, goaltender Remy Kirtland turned away 21 of 22 shots to bring home the victory. Games 2 and 3 were tough losses for the Warcats, with goalies Luca Fink and Bryce Hague each making 29 saves in those games. Game 4 was also a tough loss, unfortunately, however the Warcats were able to slip 2 goals past the Cyclones goalie in that one. Landon Hackworth and Logan Reed each scored a goal, assisted by Rogan Kirtland, Judah King and Zach Taylor (Logan also picked up an assist on Landon's goal). Remy Kirtland made faced 37 shots that game.

On Saturday, the 19th, the Warcats tied the visiting Dayton Nugs. Zach Taylor had 2 goals that evening, with Tye Van Fossan and Peyton Gilmer also scoring goals. Assists went to Vince Heiter, Logan Reed and Rogan Kirtland (with 2). Goalie Bryce Hague faced 25 shots.

This past weekend, the Warcats brought home another Win against the Chill Owls. Goals were scored by Logan Reed (with 2), Bryson Blackman and Peyton Gilmer. Assists went to Trevor Patton, Judah King, Bryson Blackman and Rogan Kirtland (with 2). Goalie Remy Kirtland faced 25 shots in the game.

Both Varsity and JV are in action this weekend, and with a game on each day, you don't have to choose between the two. Warcats fans can go to both!

Saturday night, the JV team takes on the NE Mavericks JV at 8:40 PM at Easton. Then Sunday, the Varsity team will be facing the Chill Owls down at the OhioHealth Ice Haus at 1:10 PM. Both teams are looking for wins, and could use some suport. Come on out and cheer on the teams to victory this weekend!
