Our jazz students had an awesome morning hearing Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra perform at OSU. Thank you Mr. Chapman for organizing this great opportunity for our students!

We traveled to Obetz for the BOA Central Ohio Regional Championships, our first competition of the year.
The band students persevered through a 5/5:30am report time, performing 3rd in the preliminary lineup, an unexpected pivot for lunch, and a long day waiting for results. We got to see some fantastic bands perform while spending time together. The uniforms and props looked fantastic - and the weather could not have been better.
Though we didn’t make it to finals, this experience was so valuable and will help us improve for the next competition - which is Saturday, Oct. 3 at MSBA in Centerville.
Enjoy these photos from warmup and competition. No video recording was allowed. Feel free to share any of your pics in the comments for others to see.
So proud of our band and we can’t wait to see The Heist competition show continue to evolve.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Most Magical Bingo event! With over 50 volunteers and almost 400 attendees, it was certainly a magical night.
The band season is in full swing as they are out at their first contest today at BOA Obetz (and they beat South last night to Rule the ‘Ville!) and we are already only 8 weeks away from one of our largest bingo events of the year as we plan for Holiday Bingo on Saturday, November 21!
Don’t miss your chance to get your tickets to this great kick off to the holiday season. This one has sold out in the past so we highly recommend you get your tickets online in advance. We look forward to seeing you all there. Until then, Happy Fall, Y’all, and Go Warriors!
