Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD Ohio) WELD provides women with specific tools and skills to enhance their individual economic status.

Our efforts help mobilize women to become more active participants in the leadership of area businesses, civic organizations and government.

Meet our October Rosie’s Roundtable Mentor Liza Paul, MSSA, LISW-S, ACM, a 2026 Women WELDing the Way® Honoree and Chief Community Services Officer at PrimaryOne Health.

From moving to the United States from Puerto Rico at just 17 to building a career rooted in service, healthcare, and community impact, Liza’s leadership journey reflects resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to creating opportunities for others.

At October’s Rosie’s Roundtables, WELD members will have the opportunity to connect with Liza, hear from her leadership journey, and explore what Agility in the Workplace looks like in practice.

Meet Ivory Douglas Levert, one of our October Rosie’s Roundtable Mentors, 2026 Women WELDing the Way® Honoree and Co-Founder of Black Women in Nature.

Ivory’s leadership spans wellness, education, economic empowerment, and community building. Through her work, she has created spaces where women can connect, heal, grow, and find strength in community. Her approach to leadership is grounded in intentionality, compassion, and sustainable growth.

This October, WELD members will have the opportunity to sit at the table with Ivory and learn from her experiences during a meaningful conversation around Agility in the Workplace.

Ready to serve, lead and make an impact in your community?

Registration is open for WELD’s 2026 Government Boards & Commissions Skills Certification Program – Fall Session, a three-part virtual program designed to prepare women for effective service on federal, state, county and city boards and commissions.

Participants will gain valuable insight into:

-Governance of government boards and commissions
-Ethics, conflict of interest, conduct and parliamentary proceedings
-The appointment process and effective participation
-Leadership attributes that support meaningful board service

The Fall program begins September 21, 2026, with additional modules on October 5 and October 19. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion and may be eligible for SHRM PDC, Ohio CLE and Ohio CPE credits.

Registration for Module 1 closes September 14.
