Who We Are: Cancer survivor, Mike Scherer, and his wife Megan want to make it possible for all young adult cancer survivors to become parents without facing overwhelming financial burdens. He battled cancer for two years with Megan by his side. After remission, Mike and Megan's journey to parenthood spanned multiple years and many dollars. Their son's arrival proved Worth the Wait.

Worth the Wait’s executive director will be speaking at the upcoming Hodgkin’s International conference at University of Cincinnati. She will speak on a panel with Dr Krista Childress and Dr. Karen Burns of Cincinnati Children's about the oncofertility challenges and opportunities for Hodgkin’s patients.

Our friends at Alliance for Fertility Preservation hosted a policy forum on fertility preservation last night in NYC. Our former grant recipient and advocate Sasha (on the left) spoke on the panel about her work in Hawaii passing a new law that requires insurance companies to cover fertility preservation for cancer patients. She was joined by former grant recipient and advocate Corrin (middle) and WTW advisor Julia (right) and Lesley (not pictured). Patient stories matter and these brave women are making a difference in the lives of future patients.
