URGENT POST
We just can't seem to catch a break, and neither can our sweet babies.
We currently have eight cats and kittens in a foster home, and unfortunately, that home has been exposed to Panleukopenia.
Yesterday, one of the kittens in that foster home tested positive and, despite treatment efforts, sadly passed away overnight. 💔
Because Panleukopenia is extremely contagious and can be deadly, we made the decision to immediately remove the remaining seven cats and kittens from that location and place them at Mountain View Veterinary Services, where they can be safely isolated, monitored, and treated if symptoms develop.
At this time, none of the remaining seven are showing any signs of illness. Five have received two rounds of vaccinations, while two had only received one vaccine in their series.
Two of the kittens were housed in the same cage as the kitten that became sick.
Now comes the hardest part—the waiting.
For the next two weeks, we will be watching and hoping as we wait to see if any of these babies begin showing symptoms.
Panleukopenia is a devastating disease, but if caught early and treated aggressively, they do have a chance at survival. We have saved many cats and kittens from Panleukopenia over the years. Unfortunately, we have also lost many to this horrible illness.
Right now, we simply do not know which way this will go, but we are determined to give every one of these babies the best possible chance to fight and survive.
This is probably the most important fundraising post we have made in a very long time.
The cost of boarding seven cats at the vet is substantial, but we had no other safe option.
More importantly, if any of these kittens begin showing symptoms, treatment must begin immediately. We cannot wait while trying to raise funds. We have to be ready to act the moment they need medical care.
Their lives depend on it.
We are begging for help.
Whether you can donate $5, $10, $25, $100, or any amount at all, every donation helps us prepare for whatever the next two weeks may bring.
To donate directly toward their care, please call Mountain View Veterinary Services at 304-788-6602 and donate toward the Panleuk kittens.

We are heartbroken, scared, and exhausted. The next two weeks are going to be incredibly difficult, but we are determined to fight for every single one of these babies.
If you know Whiskers, you know we don't give up.
Please help us give them every chance possible. ❤️🐾
