The League, developed in 1996 is an organization that is dedicated to contributing to the lives of over 600 Misericordia residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities through volunteer work and fundraising.

League members enjoyed a fun-filled day at Family Fest over the weekend! We had the best day with residents, friends, and family members celebrating on campus. Thank you to all who volunteered and helped make it a memorable day, especially Kathy Duffy Peters, Mary Lynn Duffy, and Sharon Pendergast for leading the t-shirt and raffle tents! ❤️

Our 2026-2027 season is officially underway! Our Executive Board and League members kicked off meetings this month as we plan for another incredible year of fundraising and making memories—especially at our 2027 Heart of Gold Benefit next spring, Paradise with a Purpose! 🌺💛

We are wrapping up another amazing year full of fun, friendship and most importantly, supporting Misericordia, Heart of Mercy. We are so proud to share that this year, our League raised over $2 million for Misericordia thanks to the generous support of our members, friends, family and all who share our love for Misericordia’s residents.

This donation is a reflection of the extensive time and talent our League members dedicate to every event and fundraising initiative held throughout the year. A special thank you to our Executive Board and our Heart of Gold Benefit Chairs for all of your hard work in making this such a wonderful year.

We are so grateful to our League members, Misericordia leadership and everyone who has supported our League this year. We are excited to continue furthering our passion for Misericordia in the 2026–2027 season as we welcome incoming League President Kelly Coyne and Vice President Irene Costello.
