A huge thank you to my Post & Auxiliary of 8955!! The amount of support I received today at the pancake breakfast was amazing! Seeing my children there was an added blessing! Thank you especially to Bob "cookie" Montebano that came up with wonderful idea and executed it all like a boss!! ♥️♥️

Here is to a my year coming in as the RI Department Auxiliary President 26-27!!

On Wednesday, June 3rd, we had two special guests at our Post meeting.
2nd Class Scout Tyler Passerotti lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance then gave a presentation about a fundraiser his Troop is having.
Jim Wolfe, Chairman of the America 250 Westerly Time Capsule Committee gave a presentation about the time capsule and its burial, then took this picture that will be placed in the capsule.

On Tuesday, June 2nd, Youth Scholarship Chairperson Dora Vasquez-Hellner and Commander Scott Fricke attended the Chariho HS Awards Night to present our Post 8955 Scholarship to a deserving senior, and a patriotic cord to a senior entering the military.

On Tuesday, June 2nd the Veterans Hour radio show had a special in-studio guest. RI Director of Veterans Services Kasim Yarn joined us to discuss Memorial Day and Gold Star families and the Veterans Cemetery.

Attention Attention !

Hi again everyone! Just received a call from Bill Siano. THE MEMORIAL DAY PARADE IS CANCELLED TOMORROW.

However, the Memorial Service at the North End Columbus Circle, 34 Pond Street remains as scheduled at 7:30 a.m. in uniform.

The Parade Memorial Service will take place indoors at 10:00 a.m. at the Pawcatuck VFW Post 1265, at 160 South Broad Street.

This evening in attendance the VFW , American Legion, and DAV members at the Westerly town hall .

The Westlery Town Council in Observation of Memorial Day, read and presented a proclamation in recognition and appreciation to honor the sacrifices of all of the brave men and women whom have made for thier country.
