Hello to all of you beautiful and prosperous people π I am sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I'm going through some personal issues but I have a great support system that has kept me right where I need to be.
I do want to share that its been 10 years and my family and I still haven't gotten any closer to closure. Officer Clifton Lewis was taken from us on December 29, 2011, and we are still fighting in court. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a lot of things had to be done differently and that included the way court proceedings are handled. I am truly grateful to the attorneys handling this case. They have kept my family and I abreast of everything that has been going on from day 1. The compassion and the strive that they are giving to not only give us justice but to give us a piece of mind and to help our hearts heal is relentless. Any and every update I will receive a phone call or even an in person visit. I will say thay some things have came about that eventually I will share but right now I am not at liberty to do, I just ask that you keep us in your daily prayers as you have always done. β€
I tell people all the time that there is never a day that goes by that I don't think about all the great things that Clifton would be doing or would have done not only for our family, but for the people that he took an oath to serve and protect. He was a private person but also a person who loved helping people in any way he could.
I have added one of his famous saying to my vocabulary as I have entered into a new career in the law enforcement spectrum. That famous saying is "Don't look at my title, that's just what my position is, Look at the person, look at me, my purpose is to help you get out of the situation that you are in because I want so much better for you." His positive disposition rubbed off on not just me but everyone he had the pleasure of knowing and working with.
I, along with those who are working with The Clifton P Lewis Foundation are always trying to find ways to bring back the greatness of the community, trying to build relationships and friendships that believe in the same things that we believe in, Peace, putting an end to gun violence, Unity, and Love. We want to make a difference and we want to see change.
On May 5, 2022 as we celebrate what would have been Cliff's 51st Birthday I asked that you make that day, A Day Change! Do something that will brighten someone's day, or if you would like to make a donation to help with our back to school rally happening the second weekend in August please inbox or email me at [email protected] whatever you decide to do, do it with great humility and do it from your heart. Nothing will go unrecognized.
I thank you all for stopping by our page. I promise to add more content, pictures of great events that the Foundation has had the pleasure of being apart of and I promise to keep you updated on court proceedings.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you π
