Who is Westchester Community Mutual Aid ? 🤔

✨ Westchester Community Mutual Aid is a group of Westchester residents united in the conviction that every human being deserves food, housing, health care, and dignity. Recognizing that corporations and governments will not save us, we believe it is our collective duty as a community to care for one another. Collective care makes our community stronger, safer, and more resilient.
We center the needs, safety, and inclusion of our most vulnerable neighbors. We do not judge or shame anyone for needing help because we understand that individuals’ needs are caused by systemic failures and injustices. We are an autonomous organization, not affiliated with any political party or religious group.
We hold regular events where we distribute food, clothing, information, and other resources, relying on our community members to donate their time, labor, and resources. We work to connect community members facing crisis with the resources they need to survive.💖

Organizing items makes it easier for our team to get them directly to community members who need them. Clean, useful donations are one of the biggest ways we show respect in mutual aid.
