🖤❤️💚 Happy Juneteenth! 💚❤️🖤

Today, the New York Chapter Chums, Inc. proudly joins our nation in commemorating Juneteenth a day that honors freedom, resilience, hope, and the enduring spirit of those who never gave up on the promise of liberty.

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free. Their story reminds us that freedom is precious, justice requires perseverance, and history must always be remembered.

As Chums, we remain committed to our mission to “Listen to the Children… Enrich Their Lives.” We honor the sacrifices of those who came before us by continuing to uplift our communities through education, service, leadership, and sisterhood.

May we celebrate our heritage, embrace our history, and continue building a brighter future for generations to come.

New York Chapter Chums Inc., Mpact Outreach Inc., and Yes We Can Community Center came together to make prom dreams come true! 🎓👗🤵
Our Prom Formal Attire Giveaway served middle and high school students with FREE dresses, suits, jackets, shoes, handbags, and jewelry because EVERY student deserves to feel like royalty on their special night! 👑
A special THANK YOU to our amazing youth and community volunteers who showed up and showed out! Your dedication and heart made all the difference. 🙌🏾
And a HUGE shoutout to our very own Chum Cindy, our professional photographer extraordinaire! 📸✨ She brought her gift, her grace, and her lens and made every single student feel like the celebrity they truly are. That kind of magic doesn’t come from a camera, it comes from the heart. 💛
And to our students you walked in, and you walked out with smiles and confidence that no one can take away. THAT is what this is all about. 💛
