Westbrook Area Volunteers

Westbrook Area Volunteers Volunteer Organization The Westbrook Area Volunteers meet monthly in the backroom of the Westbrook VFW on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm.

The Westbrook Area Volunteers work to raise money to contribute to community causes and high school scholarships along with orchestrating events to improve and bring our community together. All potential or new members are welcome to come to a meeting and join our organization.

Our annual side by side ride is coming up again, Saturday August 8th! Registration 10AM at the Westbrook VFW! $20 per rider, includes a lunch on the route and an evening meal at Bonnie & Clyde’s at the conclusion of the ride! Come out, enjoy the day, and help support our community efforts!

Well surprise surprise, there’s still a little trophy to find. The cold cash has been claimed, but The decoy box has a little treasure in it, maybe it’s not so bad to come in second. The key to this treasure is more near than one thinks. If I were to look, it would be where the box cars were loaded up with people.

There was five sites to find throughout the town!
First, the north park, questions was asking when the first hospital benefit days? 1968
Second, train depot, when did it get on the historic places registry? 1986
Third, on school campus, when did Westbrook and Walnut Grove consolidate? 1991
Fourth, post office, when I was it founded? 1888
Fifth, the library, moved to current location? 1992
All together those equaled 9825, the code to the bounty!
