FYI: MPTC will be closed Friday, Aug 14, for deep cleaning.
And for our annual shutdown, Monday, Aug 17 to Friday, Aug 28. We will be returning on Monday, Aug 31, with our school year hours and schedule. Be sure to have an updated parent form (with permission for transportation) on file if you want transportation 🚌 from BHS, BMS, or WMS after school.

If you’re a Westbrook kid and can get to Westbrook site by 11:15 at the latest with your permission slip, we will be taking the van to the Biddeford site.

Thank you for asking what we need for the kids. They need us, and we are committed to them more than you might imagine. This is heart work, and we know the value of our interference in their lives. We know that we matter to them and that our CONSISTENCY is their refuge. Their happiness and sense of safety are paramount. We took care of them and our neighbors during the pandemic. We will take care of them now - more than ever.
What can you do? Be nice and patient with our kids. The terror that we see in their eyes and body language is gut-wrenching. Support your neighbors and THANK YOU for caring by being responsive and alert.
I wish I could tell you that an ice cream party, a trip to Sebago, or a dance machine would do the trick - and those are things we are already doing - but what we REALLY need is for the madness to STOP. The hatred to STOP. The glee about cruelty to STOP. The perversion about aversion to people of color to STOP.

Lexi Davis – sassy, CARING, funny, sarcastic, empathy on steroids- has passed away on Saturday, June 13th, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Lexi was an unyielding lifeforce at MPTC for fifteen years. She started out attending here as a kid at age 17 in 2011, then became an intern, youth worker, senior youth worker, assistant program director, and program director. Her impact on the thousands of kids she served is immeasurable. Her heart for each of their stories was an unending source of support. Lexi left her indelible mark in her 32 years.
In her words -- she said these every day as the kids were leaving to go home—"BE SAFE!”
Lexi - You're a shiny star and will be thought of every day. A kid like you were, and the woman that you became - you're the reason MPTC exists.
