Last night the Lions lost their last game of season 10-9 in extra innings at Falmouth.

Lions were lead offensively by Joe and Cam with 2 hits each. Cam scored 3 runs Tyler and Joe each scored 2.

Hayden pitched 3 innings Danny 4 and Cam the last inning.

Danny had the defensive highlight of game with a great backhanded play at second and throwing runner out robbing him of a hit.

Last night the Lions beat Gorham 7-6 in an exciting game at Warren Field.

Lions had 8 hits lead by Joe’s 2 including a 3 run double. Tyler scored 2 of the 7 runs. He reached base twice by getting hit by pitch.

Joe made his first career start on the mound and went 1 inning. Jake came in and pitched the next 4 only giving up 1 run. Gavin came in to gut out the last 2 innings to get the save with the tying run on base.

Tyler had a great game behind the plate. Solid defensive game all around highlighted by Joe’s diving catch in centerfield.

Tonight the Lions defeated Gray New Gloucester 11-6 at Warren Field.

Lions banged out 10 hits lead by Cam and Zach with 2 each. Tom, Zach, and Cam each scored 2 runs.

Good defense was played all around lead by Cam and Hayden in the infield. Will and Owen each made great catches in the outfield.

Zach threw 6 strong innings only giving up 2 earned runs and struck out 8. Cam threw the last inning to wrap up the game.

Friday evening the Lions played an exciting game under the lights in Falmouth and won 5-4!

Lions had 9 hits lead by Tyler with 2. Quin had a huge hit that tied the game at 3. Bryce blasted a double that drove in the go ahead run. Zach scored 2 of the 5 runs.

Jake pitched the first 4 innings. Owen threw 2 plus innings and Joe came in with no outs and 2 runners on and got a double play grounder turned by Zach, Jake and Hayden with a great stretch. Joe struck out last batter with a runner on 3rd to end game!

Friday night the Lions won their first regular season game of the year. They defeated Falmouth 11-2 under the lights in Falmouth.

Lions had 8 hits and 8 walks that lead to the 11 runs. Gavin,Kyle and Hayden all had 2 hits and 2 runs each. Jake also scored 2 runs.

Jake fired 5 shutout innings to lead the pitching. Joe finished the game with a solid 2 innings of pitching for the first time since Little League!

Solid defense played all around lead by Zach at shortstop and Gavin behind the plate
