The Westbrook Tree Lighting Committee The Westbrook Tree Lighting Committee is a group of volunteers who work together to organize Westbrook's annual tree lighting ceremony.

Over 25 years ago Jeanne Lovejoy, fondly known as Mrs. Christmas, formed a group of volunteers and The Westbrook Tree Lighting Committee was born. The sole purpose of this committee was to provide a holiday celebration on the town green where townspeople could gather and celebrate Christmas with carols, crafts, a visit with Santa and enjoy cookies & hot chocolate free of charge while watching our town tree come to life with holiday lights. Over the years the event has grown to include a parade, horse and wagon rides, a big bonfire with s’mores and food samples from various local restaurants.
