The Westbrook Tree Lighting Committee The Westbrook Tree Lighting Committee is a group of volunteers who work together to organize Westbrook's annual tree lighting ceremony.

Over 25 years ago Jeanne Lovejoy, fondly known as Mrs. Christmas, formed a group of volunteers and The Westbrook Tree Lighting Committee was born. The sole purpose of this committee was to provide a holiday celebration on the town green where townspeople could gather and celebrate Christmas with carols, crafts, a visit with Santa and enjoy cookies & hot chocolate free of charge while watching our

town tree come to life with holiday lights. Over the years the event has grown to include a parade, horse and wagon rides, a big bonfire with s’mores and food samples from various local restaurants.

Just a reminder that we will be collecting non-perishable food items at the tree lighting tonight. If you are able, please consider donating. We will be collecting the items at our crafts table.

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and joined us tonight for our tree lighting event.

We have soooo many people to thank but want to give a HUGE shout out to Westbrook Fire Department for allowing us to use their space. Without them we would have had to cancel everything.

The Tree Lighting Committee even got to visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus!
