Today we celebrate our 100th birthday in Hawaii! 🎂

On January 2, 1923, the Shriners fraternity founded our Honolulu hospital to care for underserved keiki suffering from polio. Since then, Shriners Children's Hawaii has provided specialty pediatric orthopedic care to keiki in the Islands and across the Pacific Basin, regardless of their families' ability to pay.

As we mark our centennial, we extend our sincere gratitude to our community for allowing us the privilege of helping keiki live their best lives, both at home and abroad. Mahalo! 🥰

Meet 4 year-old Nyla. She is all smiles while getting her arm casted during her recent visit to Shriners Philly. No stranger to falls, bumps or bruises, Nyla needed a cast for a fracture after falling while practicing dance at home.

A local urgent care recommended that Nyla’s parents bring her to Shriner Philly’s walk-in fracture clinic. She was seen by a clinician, x-rayed, casted and was on her way home in less than an hour. The Shriners Philly Pediatric Fracture and Sports Injury Clinic is open Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM. No appointment needed!

**Habitat for Humanity- Take a Veteran to Lunch Event**

Join TEAM CRESCENT

📣Wow! We are less than 3️⃣ days away from our 8th Annual Walk for Love +5K. More than $355,000 has been raised to benefit our hospital so far. Thank you all for the support!!

Some details for the event on Saturday, 10/1.
• 7 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. arrive to participate in our event and register. Move towards that start line. Runners first, walkers second.
• 8 a.m. 5K begins
• 8:10 a.m. 1-mile walk begins
• 9:00 a.m. on the stage, near the Outback Outpost, we will have a brief program; winners will be announced.
• 9:30 a.m. our event will conclude, please enjoy the Zoo for as long as you desire!

Please note, no jogging strollers on the 5K route. The 5K will be timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Company. For attendees, we sent a comprehensive preparation email this morning, so keep an eye out in your inbox! There is still time for your friends to sign up as well!! walkforlove5K.org
