Women of the Dream is proud to present our Brittain Foundation $10,000 scholarship winner this year, Kauthar Calvente.

Kauthar has been a member of Women of the Dream since 7th grade. She transitioned from middle school to Creative Arts High School, our chief partner school, and completed all Women of the Dream programs during her high school. years. She is in the top five of her class and is college-bound this fall to Montclair State University, where she will major in Fashion Merchandising.

Thanks to our partner, Deborah Brittain of the Brittain Foundation, for her partnership in assisting our girls on their journey to success.

Dawn is the chief coordinator for the scholarship event and other projects sponsored by Women of the Dream. Women of the Dream salutes Sydney Brockington, who was our student keynote speaker at Women of the Dream's scholarship event on June 13th. Sydney is a current Master of Public Administration candidate at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a 2026 graduate from Syracuse University – Summa Cum Laude with honors. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Policy Studies in just three years. She hopes to build a career that lives where media and public affairs meet.

Sydney has also gained hands-on internship experience at CBS News, NBCUniversal, and NJ Advance Media, and currently works as an Audience Engagement Intern at Next City, where she brings urban policy stories to digital audiences across platforms.
