What happens when youth have opportunities to connect with culture?

In Esk'etemc First Nation, cultural workshops, community-led learning, and mentorship are creating opportunities for youth to strengthen their connection to culture and land.

Through the PLAY Program, Right To Play supports Indigenous communities in creating spaces where young people can connect, learn, and thrive.

This National Indigenous History Month, we're celebrating the power of culture, community, and connection.

June is a National Indigenous History Month.

It's a time to honour the histories, cultures, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

This month, we encourage everyone to take time to learn, reflect, and deepen their understanding of Indigenous perspectives while celebrating Indigenous communities across Canada.

We are so proud to celebrate the Elahi family at our 2026 Heroes Gala 💛

Their support of Right To Play has helped create more opportunities for girls to grow, lead, and thrive through sport and play. Through the creation of the Parveen Elahi Girls’ Sports Center, more girls now have access to a safe space where they can build confidence, find community, and discover their potential.

The Elahi family’s generosity and belief in the power of play is creating real impact for children and youth every single day, and we are incredibly grateful to have them as part of the Right To Play community.
