🧡 In consideration of the recent tragedies in our Indigenous communities, it is incredibly important that we recognize and acknowledge the lands across Canada that are owned by Indigenous people.

🧡 This Canada Day, the Ryerson UX team wants to extend our support for Indigenous communities and encourage everyone to educate themselves about the issues we face as a society.

👩🏻‍💻Thank you to our wonderful instructors Floria Chu and Hossai Girowal for making our Figma workshops this past weekend a big success!👩🏻‍💻

We would also like to thank the participants who attended our workshops - this would not have been possible without all of you!

Ryerson UX appreciates your active participation and involvement this weekend, and we hope you were able to gain valuable knowledge about the basics of Figma and UX/UI design.

👩🏻‍💻 Introducing the instructors for our upcoming Figma Workshop - Floria Chu and Hossai Girowal. 👩🏻‍💻

Floria Chu is a UX/UI designer and a Ryerson alumni who has graduated from the Graphic Communications Management program. Fun fact about her: she is a cat mom of 2, lover of BBT, and almost always easily bribed by food 😸🍣🧋

Hossai Girowal is a self-taught UX/UI designer in her final year at Ryerson in the Graphic Communications Management program. She started her path in UX over a year ago and completed a co-op placement this past fall at Ontario Digital Service working as a UX designer and researcher. She leads UX research & usability testing for Ontario's current COVID-19 School and Childcare Screening Tool. Upon graduation, she will be starting as a Junior UX Designer at Publicis Sapient.

Learn about the ins and outs of visual design from these talented Ryerson students on Friday, April 2nd and Saturday, April 3rd from 1:00pm-2:30pm.
