Room for All's affirming worship service here in Nashville, Tennessee is TODAY! Come worship, pray and be encouraged by our incredible worship team at 2 PM at McKendree UMC, 523 Church Street. Rev. Dr. Denise Kingdom will preach, Rev. Jeremy Simpson will lead us in song, Rev. Alyssa Muehmel is our liturgist and you'll hear from Room for All's Associate Director, Mitchel Leet as well.

Room for All Volunteers will be in the hotel lobby at 1 PM to coordinate transportation, including Ubers and Lyfts as needed to help get folks to the church.

For anyone driving themselves, park in the church garage at 140 6th Avenue North. The Church entrance from the garage is on the 4th floor, beside the elevator with the picture of Johnny Cash on the doors. We will have a code for you for exiting the garage without any charge.

We'll also be streaming the service on Room for All's new YouTube channel, and will cross post that link here once we're live. We can't wait to celebrate our affirming and loving God with you!

It was very important to me, as a transgender man and art major myself, to make a stop here in Northern Kentucky to honor Murry Foust. He should still be here. 🏳️‍⚧️🖤

Today is the 10 year Remembrance of the Pulse Nightclub Shooting in Orlando, Florida. I don't speak often about the fact that I was going to be there that night with my friends from college, and were it not for a hangover, we would have been. I disclose this not to center myself, but to point out the impact of this tragedy.

Jump to 3:42 for the reading of the names. I regret not having time to caption this before we get back on the road, but I hope you'll listen to the names and ages of the victims of that massacre:

Our first stop is the last in New York! Super overdue reveal of my wife, Cameron, not to be confused with my predecessor, Cameron Van Kooten Laughead! “Girl Cameron”, as we always said is looking forward to meeting folks soon. Ohio here we come!

First stop is the last in New York! And here is the long overdue introduction of my wife, Cameron who is accompanying me to General Synod. Often confused to be my predecessor, Cameron Van Kooten Laughead, “girl Cameron” and I have been married for almost 6 years. Onward to Ohio!

The final member of our worship team is, of course, Mitchel Leet. As you're reading this pre-scheduled post, Mitch is on the road to join everyone attending General Synod in Nashville, Tennessee. Your prayers for safe travels for all are appreciated!

From the Finger Lakes region of New York State, Mitchel Leet is an artist, advocate, proud transgender man and Room for All’s Associate Director. He has founded and served in myriad LGBTQIA+ initiatives and organizations since first coming out in 2010. Coming from his previous role as Coordinator of the LGBTQIA+ Center of the Finger Lakes, Mitch joined Room for All in 2022, serving as Program Manager until his promotion by the Board in June 2025. Through the Forum for Theological Exploration, he was a member of the DISCERN 2023 leadership incubator, and most recently, Mitch was a member of the inaugural Henri Nouwen Society’s 30 Under 30 Young Leaders Cohort.

Mitch is passionate about vocal, visible advocacy for civil rights and human dignity– when he says ‘for all’, he means it, as a follower of the inclusive Christ. Mitch now lives north of the City of Rochester with his wife, Cameron and their King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Bruno. When he’s not working or protesting, you can almost always find him in the garden or the pottery studio, with his hands happily in the dirt.
