Adams County Junior Fair

The Adams County Jr Fair Beef BBQ will be held on Thursday, September 3, 4:30-7 p.m. at the Ohio Valley Career & Technical Center. Tickets cost $15 and include 2 sandwiches, cole slaw, baked beans, and chips. All proceeds go to support capital improvements to benefit our Jr Fair program.

Mark your calendar for a great meal to support a terrific group of young people. See you there!

Tick Borne Pathogens in the Cow Herd

This program will focus on the Asian Longhorned Tick and Theileria, their threat to the cow herd, signs and side effects producers should watch for, and precautionary measures to help protect herds from the disease.

Mineral Supplementation for the Cow Herd

Dr. Linder will discuss mineral supplementation in the cow herd, including the importance of proper nutrition, common deficiencies, and strategies to improve herd health and performance through effective mineral programs.

Adams County Junior Fair Board applications are available!
Teens who are entering grade 9 and up and are members in good statnding with a junior fair organization are eligible to apply.

To apply visit go.osu.edu/acjfb and apply by September 1. You will be contacted after the deadline to schedule an interview.

Adams County Junior Fair Board annual organizational meeting will be held October 7.

2026 Adams County Junior Fair Sale buyers list. Please be sure to send all buyers on your project a thank you note.

Market lamb and market goat members who sold in the Junior Fair Sale will be receiving a check in the mail from Producers Stockyards for the packer bid price for your animal. There will be an additional check to pick up from the sale committee once all buyers have paid.

Market hog and beef exhibitors will receive the whole check at pick up as in the past.

A list of buyers will be available on the Extension website on Monday morning.
