Sound baths are becoming increasingly popular, but did you know that you can create a meaningful personal practice by learning how one singing bowl can help move energy through your body in a nurturing, revitalizing way? Join Priscilla Warner and Alison Leipzig, on the day before their Super Sound Bath, for a sound healing workshop that will demonstrate just that.
In this special sound bath, these two trained sound healers—who not only studied, but also perform, together—combine their gifts to create a deeply immersive experience. Participants will have the rare opportunity to receive hands-on sound healing when Priscilla and Alison lay sound bowls directly on the body, enhancing the vibrational impact.

She utilizes two different modalities that employ vibrational energy to lead you into a deeply restorative state of relaxation. Both sound and crystals were used in ancient cultures dating back thousands of years. During this session you can hold a specific crystal you are drawn to, or she will place crystals on your chakras. D. Farai Williams is a vocalist, performer, and The Somatic Muse—an artist and somatic practitioner exploring where voice, body, story, and belonging meet. Maryse Smith spent some years in Vermont writing songs, and she now does the same on Martha’s Vineyard. She has released 5 albums.
Sharisse Scott-Rawlins is third-generation Islander with Jamaican and Barbadian roots, a multidisciplinary visionary, fashion designer, writer, and community storyteller. She is the founder and designer of bySharisse, a fashion design and production brand and the author of Dear Fellow Warrior, and creator of Voices bySharisse, the first Black-led editorial platform developed in partnership with The Martha’s Vineyard Times. https://www.bysharisse.com/
Althea Freeman-Miller is a Martha’s Vineyard-born artist, printmaker, and creative wellness facilitator. She is celebrated for her colorful block-printed designs and whimsical folk art, known for its joyful simplicity and imaginative, uplifting qualities. Raised by artist parents and nurtured by a community of creatives, Althea established her career in 2014, regularly showcasing her work at craft shows and local eateries. 🎵 📸 🪉 Meet the Artists: Let's meet some of the talented women we'll be hosting at the HERitage Festival on October 2, in solidarity with Ladyfest MV! We'll continue these introductions up until the Fest. Please feel free to share and help spread the word. Tickets available on our site. Below are the bios for each, in order of the images.
(1) Ella Mahoney is a visual artist, illustrator, and educator, and a member of the Wampanoag Tribe of Aquinnah. Her art practice centers on storytelling, often drawing from Wampanoag creation stories, her personal experience of indigeneity, and tribal connections to land and water to create indigenous futurisms. Through engaging with stories through painting and installation– she offers different avenues to build deeper connections with the meaning and purpose of each story, building onto legends for the future. Working primarily in cyanotype, acrylic, and ink, Mahoney’s recent work focuses on large-scale silk installations that evoke the movement, memory, and atmosphere of north east coastal environments, and more specifically, Aquinnah.
(2) Tracy Leigh Devine is an Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribal member and a lifelong resident of Noepe. (Martha’s Vineyard) She creates authentic, handmade wampum jewelry that honors her ancestral heritage. The business she started in 2018, Martha’s Vineyard Native, is dedicated to preserving traditional Native American artistry while embracing contemporary design. Each piece is unique and meticulously crafted from local quahog clamshells and precious metals, serving as a wearable piece of Island history.
(3) Thistle Jemison's formal studies in South Indian, western classical, jazz, and folk led her to create a harp and voice centered music all her own, which Chamber Music America dubbed “angelic, beautiful, and hypnotic.” Her lyrics are inspired by Victorian poetry.
(4) Emily Kleinhenz was raised on the island and the Vineyard keeps drawing her back. She makes clay pieces by hand then hand paints with underglazes. Each piece is made with love and every one is unique and different.

We were thrilled to host A Return to Self at the barn, a program that was developed, produced and developed by Leading Women Defined. A Return to Self was an immersive wellbeing experience guided by Master Well-Being Educator, Author, and Healer Devi Brown. Surrounded by the Vineyard's quiet beauty, participants were invited to slow down, listen more deeply, and engage the five senses as a pathway to reconnecting with themselves. Rooted in LWD’s belief that wellbeing is not a luxury but a necessity, A Return to Self offered space to exhale, restore, and remember the power of simply being. We're grateful to welcome programs like this, which align beautifully with Stillpoint’s mission: to create a place for joyful learning, deep reflection, and strengthening of community bonds. Thank you Leading Women Defined and Devi Brown, for bringing this intention and care to our space.
