WARM exists to build a bridge between the church and our city's refugees. We equip and mobilize followers of Jesus to welcome the foreigners living among us.

We also directly assist refugees with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

At WARM, we believe hospitality is about more than giving. It is also about receiving what others bring into our lives and communities. The people we welcome bring their own gifts, experiences, faith, and perspectives, and our communities are stronger when we make space to learn from one another.
True welcome creates relationships where everyone has something meaningful to offer.

It’s Highlight Thursday! 🎉 Today we’re celebrating Tricia Sayre, our Western MA Program Manager! This year marks Tricia’s 5th year with WARM, and she plays such an important role in keeping so much of our work in Western Massachusetts moving forward. From building relationships with refugee families and volunteers to supporting programs, events, and community connections, Tricia brings care, energy, and commitment to everything she does. We’re so grateful for all that she gives to WARM and to the people we serve. 💚
🌎 Favorite part of serving with WARM?
“Being made an honorary member of a refugee’s family. Celebrating births, engagements, driver’s licenses and citizenships! 🎉”
🐒 Fun fact about you?
“I spent a summer in Costa Rica studying the Howler monkey for my degree in Biology and rainforest study concentration.”

Friday evening brought together friends from Evangel Assembly of God, First Baptist East Longmeadow, and Westfield Evangelical Free Church for our second Vision Night.
Over dinner from Taste of Lebanon, we had the chance to connect, learn more about WARM, and hear Marzia share about her journey as a refugee and what life has been like after resettlement. She also treated everyone to homemade gosh-e-fil, or “elephant ears,” for dessert! We’re grateful for evenings like this that create space for conversation and connection.💚

What We Know To Be True: The church is one body, united across cultures and nations.

At WARM, we believe the church is strengthened when people from different cultures and nations come together in Christ. This verse reminds us that belonging does not depend on having the same background or speaking the same language.
We hope to reflect that kind of unity by creating a community where people are welcomed, known, and valued.

It’s Highlight Thursday!! 🎉
Today we’re highlighting two wonderful members of WARM’s Board of Directors, Ryan Eckerson and Paul Bothwell!

Ryan has served on WARM’s Board for the past three years and recently completed his term as Board President, handing the baton to Andrea Santiago. We’re so grateful for the leadership, commitment, and care he has brought to WARM throughout his time in this role.

Paul has been serving on the Board for the past year and has recently stepped into the role of Secretary. His willingness to serve and support WARM’s mission means so much to our community.

We’re so grateful for the leadership, time, and care Ryan and Paul bring to WARM and to the work happening across our community. (and of course, they had to show off their WARM mugs too! ☕💚)
