Scepter Lodge #143 3260 Jefferson Blvd., West Sacramento, CA. 95691 Masons (also known as Freemasons) belong to the oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world.

Today there are more than two million Freemasons in North America. Masons represent virtually every occupation and profession, yet within Freemasonry, they all meet as equals. Masons come from diverse political ideologies, yet meet as friends. Masons come from varied religious beliefs, yet all believe in one God, in religious tolerance, and in individual freedom of thought and conscience. Many of

our Nation's early patriots and founding fathers were Masons . Two of the three men assigned to draft the Declaration of Independence were Masons. Thirteen signers of the Constitution and fourteen Presidents of the United States, including George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, were Freemasons. The great explorers, Lewis and Clark, were also brother Masons (Masons in History). One of the most fascinating aspects of Freemasonry is how so many men, from so many different walks of life, can meet together in peace, always conducting their affairs in harmony and friendship, and calling each other "Brother."

This past Saturday, we had a great Masonic breakfast at the lodge of Biscuits and Gravy, scrambled eggs, coffee, orange juice and some hot sauces for the brave. I would like to thank Worshipful Joe Billings PM, for making the gravy for the breakfast and Bro Paul Schmidt for cooking up the eggs and keeping the kitchen staff in check and also, Bro. Kevin Crews for bringing the doughnuts. We had a pretty good turn-out at the breakfast. We look forward to putting on these more frequently and opening them up to bring the family in to participate, since Masonry is about family. Below are a couple of pictures from the breakfast. Thanks also need to be extended to Krister our Junior Warden for his expertise as our purchasing agent.
Our next Breakfast will be in February or March 2023. Menu has yet to be determined.

What a great event!
Delta Star Chapter and Scepter Lodge joined together today for an Underground Tour of Old Sacramento. Our tour guide was none other than Julie Kowing from Rio Linda Chapter. We had a group of 32 and we were mostly well-behaved, although we did have a couple of trouble makers!
Afterward, several of us went for pizza. A good time was had by all!
