🛟 Is your Lifeguard Instructor certification coming up for renewal?

District 2’s Northern California Aquatic Management Association (NCAMA) is hosting a Lifeguard Instructor Recertification Course on Saturday, October 24, in Elk Grove! Join them for a day of hands-on training to renew your certification and keep your skills up to date.

⚕️ Keeping Kids in the Game Starts with Safety.

If your agency offers youth sports, are you ready for new safety requirements coming in 2027?

Join CPRS D2 on October 15th for a Lunch N’ Learn focused on the Nevaeh Youth Sports Safety Act and what it means for cities, recreation districts, and other organizations offering youth athletic programs.

With new requirements taking effect January 1, 2027, we’ll cover what agencies need to know — including equipment, training, policies, procedures, and practical resources to help you prepare.

We’ll also hear from Joe Ellis, a sudden cardiac arrest survivor and AED safety advocate, who has dedicated his work to expanding access to lifesaving equipment in parks and recreation spaces.

It was another beautiful evening in the Region 🌤️🏡

Thank you to everyone who joined Districts 1, 2 & 3 at Woodstock Pizza in Davis for our neighborly social last week! It was an evening full of good conversations, familiar faces, new connections, lots of laughs, and, of course, pizza. 🍕

And with that, we’re wrapping up our two-event Region 1 social series. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in Mare Island and Davis! A very special thank you to The KYA Group for supporting these gatherings and helping us bring the neighborhood together. We’re grateful for your partnership and for being such a good neighbor! 🏡👏

Two events, lots of great memories, and a whole lot of wonderful neighbors. We can’t wait to do it again.

🏆 The belt has a new home!

Thank you to the 15+ agencies and over 300 participants who came out to this year’s District 2 Equipment Expo & Rodeo in Roseville. It was a great day of checking out new equipment, connecting with fellow parks and recreation professionals, and, of course, a little friendly competition. 🚜🤠

Congratulations to Auburn Recreation District on taking home the Rodeo Championship Belt! 🏆

A big thank you to ExMark, HOLT of California, Papé Machinery, Hunter Irrigation, Milwaukee, STIHL, and all of our sponsors for helping make the Expo possible.

The District 2 Equipment Expo & Rodeo is almost here! 🚜

Come spend the day checking out new equipment, seeing what is happening in the industry, swapping ideas with other parks and recreation professionals, and—of course—competing in the Rodeo Games. 🏆
