Elder abuse can occur with little recognition and response. At Family Violence Prevention Program we want to acknowledge that this is happening everyday and show recognition. If you see this type of abuse happening stop it, report it, and seek help.
This can be physical, financial, and emotional/mental.

We are here, even if it’s just to be heard.

They Matter! Every number is a name, every name is a loved one. ♥️🪶

May is MMIW Awareness Month and we want to express that this crisis is happening now. We need to raise awareness, support communities, fight for justice, and stand for change.

At FVPP, we can help with court accompaniment, filling out protection orders, basic guidance through the court process, and advocating for families. 💪🏼

Seeking volunteers to help with the events, and calling horse riders to es**rt the walkers. Feel free to donate cakes, cookies, or pies for the Cake Walks, door prizes, or concession items. Also, if you have red shirts, skirts, or dresses to hang in the gym, it would be appreciated.

There will be a couple of Red Dress Specials, so all dancers are invited to participate. The first one is a giveaway to the dancers. The second one is sponsored by LiUNA laborer’s union and will offer cash prizes to the top three finalists in the Adult, Teen, and Youth divisions. Adult Finalists will receive $150.00 each; Teen Finalists will receive $100.00 each; and Youth Finalists will receive $75.00 each. Bring your red dresses and dance in remembrance of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People.

Remember it’s Mother Day weekend, so if you need to get a gift for a special mom the Pyramid Lake Museum is a great place to find a variety of nice gifts.

We hope to see you this weekend for a fun and enjoyable time!

At our victim services program we stand with survivors every day —not just this month. This crime impacts families, individuals, and the communities we live in but we are here to help through the healing with support, advocacy, and compassion 👖💙.

Tomorrow let’s wear jeans to show support and walk alongside survivors ❕❕
