Lifeline Of Berks County Inc For a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy, Lifeline is a place where you will be listened to and help The focus of Lifeline will be on the woman and her baby.

Lifeline of Berks County seeks to be an expression of Christ's love and healing in its community. The board and staff are inter-denominational, united in the belief that all human life is a sacred, God-given gift from the moment of conception. Lifeline is a not-for-profit organization committed to serving the needs of women, families, and children, born and unborn. It upholds the dignity of all women by offering free and confidential services. It supports women in their pregnancies and will never recommend abortion, nor will it refer or help a woman to procure an abortion. Lifeline will offer unconditional and non-judgmental support to any woman faced with a problem pregnancy, regardless of race, income, color, or creed. Lifeline staff and volunteers will encourage spiritual growth for women who express interest, yet it will never use a womanโ€™s untimely pregnancy to evangelize a particular faith. Lifeline will promote abstinence among unmarried women seeking its services, illustrating its desire to support women in making choices which are most beneficial to their physical, emotional and spiritual health. Lifeline will not condone the use of artificial contraceptives among clients, and will inform applicable clients of the potentially abortifacient nature of some contraceptive methods. Lifeline will make available, to clients interested in spacing childbirth through the most healthy means, information on Natural Family Planning. Lifeline will present adoption as a positive alternative to pregnant women in difficult circumstances, and will refer only to licensed adoption agencies. Lifeline will not lobby or make political statements on the issue of abortion. All information obtained by Lifeline is held in strict confidence.

Eight weeks ago, we asked you to meet her.

You met the woman behind the statistics.

You learned that nearly one in six reported pregnancies in Berks County end in abortion.

You saw that almost three women every day face this decision in our community.

Tomorrow, we gather because the story isn't finished.

Somewhere in Berks County, another woman is searching for hope.

She lives here.

And together, we can ๐Ÿ’› Be Her Light.

We don't make money off of her decision.

Our role is to provide compassionate, truthful information about her pregnancy and her options so she can make an informed decision.

We listen. We answer her questions. We provide information and support without coercion.

Because we see her as a person, not a profit.

Have a donor-advised fund? You can recommend a grant to Lifeline and help provide compassionate, life-affirming support to women and families in our community.

Your generosity helps a mother in crisis give her child the gift of life. ๐Ÿ’›

Today, Donor-Advised Fund Day, is a perfect time to put your charitable giving to work for the causes you care about.

For every woman who walks through Lifeline's doors, our services are provided free of charge.

And that matters because 62% of our patients have an income of less than $30,000.

When she's already trying to make ends meet, an unexpected pregnancy can bring even more financial questions and uncertainty.

Because of YOUR generosity, cost isn't another barrier standing between getting the care, information, and support she needs.

Your light makes that possible. ๐Ÿ’›

So what exactly does your support provide?

When she walks through our doors, she is heard, informed, prepared, and supported.

Your generosity makes that care possible.

You provide her a place to turn when she needs it most.

You are her light.

Reaching her starts long before she walks through our doors.

First, she has to know we're here. Then, when she reaches out, we need to be ready to immediately respond. That first outreach takes courage, and we need to be there to help her take that next step toward scheduling an appointment.

Every part of the process matters.

Reaching more women isn't just about getting our name in front of them. It's about making sure there's a clear, welcoming path from that first search to scheduling an appointment at NorthStar.

60% of abortions in Berks County were performed on Gen Z women (ages 20โ€“29).

That means our outreach needs to reach HER where she is, when she needs us, and in a language she relates to.

That's why we're working to increase our outreach and connect with more women in our community.

Our goal isn't simply to be here. It's to make sure she knows we're here.

Because your light can only reach her if we can reach her first. ๐Ÿ’›
