Congratulations to Brother Larry Lee Inge on being Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason this evening, May 26, 2026, at West Point Lodge No. 238 AF&AM.

The degree was beautifully conferred from the East by Worshipful Leonard Larry Goins, Jr., and the Master Mason Degree Lecture was delivered by Worshipful Doug Williams of the Grand Lodge Committee on Work.

We extend our sincere congratulations to Brother Inge as he continues his Masonic journey, and we thank all of the brethren who helped make the evening both meaningful and memorable.

Tonight, West Point Lodge No. 238 was honored to present two $500 scholarships to Miss Ruby Kate Vincent and Miss Amelia Rachael Sanders during dinner prior to the stated communication of the lodge.

Ruby Kate Vincent will be attending the University of Virginia this fall on a pre-pharmacy track majoring in Biochemistry. Amelia Sanders will be attending Rappahannock Community College as she pursues a career in nursing.

The scholarships were presented on behalf of the lodge by Worshipful Leonard Larry Goins Jr., Worshipful Master, with the assistance of Right Worshipful William Jonathan Sirman, Senior Warden, in front of family members and guests.

West Point Lodge No. 238 extends its congratulations to both young ladies and wishes them much success as they begin this exciting new chapter in their lives.

West Point Lodge No. 238 extends our sincere gratitude to River View Chapter No. 69, Order of the Eastern Star, for their generous support toward the continued improvements and repairs to our Lodge building.

The relationship between our two organizations has always been one of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect, and we are truly thankful for the partnership we share in working together for the good of our Masonic family and community.

A special thank you goes to everyone involved in organizing and supporting the recent car show fundraiser, especially the committee members whose hard work made this contribution possible. Your dedication and teamwork are deeply appreciated.

Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron, Sister Kim and Brother Bill Sirman presented West Point Masonic Lodge with a check from the proceeds of the 3 Rivers Car Show. Our car show committee consisted of Matthew Wech, Susan Milby, Wylie Crowe and Holly Crowe. Accepting the check on behalf of the Masons was Worshipful Larry Goins.

Today we celebrate the birthday of our Lodge Secretary, Worshipful Benjamin Joseph Sanders!

Wor. Sanders was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on February 26, 2019, and has faithfully served West Point Lodge No. 238 in many capacities, including as Worshipful Master in 2023 and 2024.

His dedication to Freemasonry extends throughout many appendant bodies across Virginia. He currently serves as Worthy Patron of King Carter Chapter No. 5, Order of the Eastern Star; High Priest of Urbanna Royal Arch Chapter No. 59; and Eminent Commander of Penn-Neck Commandery No. 33, Knights Templar. He is also a 32° Scottish Rite Mason and Knight of Saint Andrew with the Newport News Scottish Rite.

Thank you, Worshipful Sanders, for your continued leadership, service, and dedication to the Craft.

On May 5, 2026, at a Called Communication of West Point Lodge No. 238, Brother Dennis Joseph Lowe was found proficient in the Entered Apprentice Catechism and was duly passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft.

The Degree was conferred by Worshipful Leonard Larry Goins Jr., presiding in the East. The Senior Deacon’s Lecture was recited by Worshipful Benjamin Joseph Sanders, and Brother Lowe was received in the East by Worshipful James David Ross.
