She tried to stop, started to slide, drove off the side of the road into a ditch and was ejected from the vehicle through the windshield because she wasn't wearing her seat belt. She was lifelighted to Creighton hospital. She has had multiple brain surgeries to remove her skull so her brain does doesn't swell and crush itself. Last night they had to cut off her hair. Her pelvis is shattered, both
legs are broken in multiple places. Her right arm is broken and her left knee is basically gone. She has gone through about 10 units of blood so far but is starting to coagulate so she probably won't need much more now. The doctors say everything looks better than they thought. We are pretty optimistic about everything and she will back on her feet after some time. We won't be able to see her for 4 to 5 days. And she should be awake by New years. While her family was at the hospital on Christmas Eve, their house burnt down with everything they own. They didn't even have home owners insurance.
