Chattahoochee Council Training

This page’s status will change to “Unpublished” on Tuesday, September 1 at 9pm eastern.

Please save any photos or videos of your Scouts before then!

This means the page will not be searchable or viewable after that date. This does not mean the page will be deleted.

I will gladly transfer the page ownership to a future Training Chair when one is identified.

This page began as a Council Commissioner page before transitioning to the Training page. It captured a lot of fun over the years!

Thanks to the Del-Mar-Va Council for this simple SYT graphic!

Our Council Training Chair Catherine Hoffman Kaser made this helpful infographic regarding the Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT), which is required for all registered leaders. For more information about SYT, online training requirements, and in person training opportunities, visit https://www.delmarvacouncil.org/training/

Here’s some clarity on the Safeguarding Youth Training:

🎓 Old YPT (no 90-minute course completed)?
➡️ Full 90-minute course required

⏰ 90-minute course expired more than 6 days ago?
➡️ Full 90-minute course required

🔄 90-minute course expired 6 days or less OR still active?
➡️ Refresher course assigned

📧 Renewal emails will direct participants to “My Training”, where they can select “Take Course” or “Retake Course”. The system will automatically guide them to the correct training based on their status.

⚠️ Important note - Anyone who has completed only the refresher without ever completing the full 90-minute course will still need to complete the full course. Clearing the browser cache may be necessary to ensure the “Retake Course” button routes correctly.
