At our second grave decorating event of the day at Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains were lt. to rt. Jerry Roberts, Garry Pirch, Paul London, and Mike Topliff. We were joined by Boy Scouts, Ozark Spring Chapter DAR, and other community members. The Ceremony is on Monday, May 25th at 10:00.

Josiah Howell SAR and Ozark Spring DAR were represented at Friday morning’s preparation for Memorial Day weekend in Mt. View (Veterans cemetery where Wreaths Across America is held). Member Garry Pirch and future member Mel Steele (waiting on approval from national SAR) were placing Flags on graves and putting Flags up the poles along with DAR members Lois Frazier, Cindy Pirch, and Eloise Miller plus her husband, Jimmy. Also helping was Danny Goff and Ronnie Pruitt from the VFW 3009 post.

JHC was honored to present a Flag Display Certificate to Andy Ingalsbe in his front yard today. Andy served 32 years in the Army and earned a Purple Heart for being wounded in Afghanistan. A remarkable man and has a Revolutionary War Patriot. He will become a member of our chapter soon. He is our first ever individual Flag Certificate recipient. Thank you for your service, Andy.
