People are weak. Our bodies and souls have needs. No need is greater than to know the one, true, living God. Give thanks to God for opening for Christians a stream of spiritual water so that we can drink of Him!

DRINK WITH YOUR EARS
What is this water of God we are drinking? God's revelation of Himself.
What form does it take? The word of God, embodied in Christ, and invested through the Holy Spirit in the written Scriptures that give us all we need for life and godliness (II Pet 1:3)
How do we drink it? By listening diligently, inclining our ear. "So faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ" (Rom 10:17). Attend to the preaching of the word on the Lord's Day! Attend to reading the word day and night - this is the activity of the tree planted by streams of water in Psalm 1. Enjoy the fellowship of believers who rightly divide the word and encourage you forward in your understanding of God and His will. In short, take advantage of the means of grace God has commanded us to use.
To what end is God watering us, His people? The fruit of the Spirit and worship of God that "befits the upright" - the worship we were built to express.

We have one more full day left in Uganda before we begin our trip home. Much more will be shared in the days and weeks to come.
God granted me the privilege of presenting a direct gospel presentation to this crowd today! What an honor!

At 9am Gulu time (1am U.S. Central), Sweetwater and the Acholi Water Stewards Program leadership will conduct a public meeting attended by a few hundred community members. The district president, local officials, and village residents from Owoo Sub-County will be present to learn about the AWSP and Sweetwater. Pray that God will be honored in our presentation of the Gospel and accurate scientific information. This photo is taken in the temporary AWSP "office"...the living room of the apartment where David and Rob are staying in Gulu.

Gulu Uganda
Stakeholders = Everybody. Young and old, rich and poor. All drink water and should have a voice in the management of their water sources.

The location of the Awonyim Christian Fellowship where David and Rob worshipped with the Acholi Water Stewards Program team. Although Sweetwater brought David to Uganda, he operated in his capacity as a deacon to gift Acholi Bibles paid for by private gifts from members of Covenant Reformed Church. Afterward, he visited two widowers to distribute food, soap, blankets, and to pray and give encouragement from the word of God.
