💙 SEEING ABILITIES, BUILDING EMPATHY, CREATING A BETTER TOMORROW 💙

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater West Plains Area is proud to partner with Ozarks Independent Living to bring ImaginAbilities to our Club kids!

ImaginAbilities is a hands-on program designed to help children be aware of different abilities, develop empathy and compassion, and learn to see the strengths in every person.

Rather than focusing on what someone can’t do, we’re encouraging our kids to ask: “What CAN they do—and how can I help?”

Our kick-off party gave kids the opportunity to explore everyday activities from a different perspective. Through interactive challenges and activities, they experienced some of the ways people with different abilities may navigate the world.

These moments aren't just about learning—they're about building understanding, kindness and respect. When we teach children to look beyond differences and recognize the abilities in everyone, we're helping create a community where more people feel seen, valued and included.

Because a better tomorrow starts with kids who learn to see the best in everyone. 💙

Ozark Independent Living was honored to make a donation to the Missouri State University ASCEND Program, which supports autistic students as they transition to college. These funds will help provide social activities and engagement opportunities for the students.
