First Tee Update for 2026:

I have come to the decision to not continue the First Tee golf program. This decision was not easy, as the program has been so special for the past 5 years. I know it's had a positive impact on our community, but I need to prioritize my family and children first. I just feel as though I haven't been able to devote myself fully as a wife/mom while trying to maintain the First Tee program.

Our community has been an amazing support for this program, and I am grateful for the years of support that we have been given.

Today marked the end of the 2025 summer First Tee season! This summer we worked with roughly 115 kiddos, teaching them not only fundamentals of golf, but core values that they can take and apply to their lives! Pictured here is the Wednesday community group (minus a few who couldn’t make it today)!

Good morning! Our last session of First Tee is tomorrow, July 23, and we will be at the church (in the air conditioning!). There is only one session tomorrow at 11:00 and we will be having pizza, as well as doing door prizes. Also, if your kiddo(s) have been to at least 2 days, I will have a T-shirt to give them. Looking forward to celebrating a culmination of a great summer of First Tee tomorrow!

It’s a beautiful morning here at Highland Springs, where we are marshaling hole number 3 for the Price Cutter Charity Championship tournament. Volunteering to help this tournament is how we make almost all of our funding to make the First Tee program possible each summer. Big thanks to those who have helped me this year at the tournament. I can’t do it without you all!

July 23 is our last meeting for the summer. On that day, I would like for both my groups to meet at 11:00 that morning (place will be determined closer to the day). We will be giving out T-shirts and goody bags, as well as doing the drawings for door prizes and I will be feeding the kiddos pizza!

First Tee will be held at the gym at First Baptist Church, tomorrow, June 18. There’s a chance of rain right around the time I would need to set up, as well as rain coming in around 12. I’d rather not dodge the weather when we can just do it in the gym and not have to worry about it!!

Tomorrow’s lesson will be at North Terra Golf Course! I will have some waters for the kids, but if you can bring some water that would be great!

Good evening! Tomorrow, June 4, sessions will be held at First Baptist Church West Plains, due to forecasted rain. Look for the First Tee trailer!

Reminder: 3-4 grades are 9:00-10:15 and 5-8 grades are 10:30-11:45.

Here is a copy of the application that was sent home, with the dates/times for a reminder. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the lessons, or you can use that time to run some errands!!
