With sadness, we pass along the announcement that Don and Pat Barnes, owners of The Harlansburg Station, Museum of Transportation, are retiring. Don has supported the Beaver Lawrence Railway Historical Society in the past and amassed an impressive collection over the nearly four decades the Harlansburg museum operated. Thank you both for all you did to bring history to life in Harlansburg!

The railroad never made it to Harlansburg — something Don Barnes changed 34 years ago.

Thank you to everyone for making the StationFest a success. Without the public, vendors, sponsors, and members, we wouldn’t have had a sunny day to have fun without all the hard work. Next year, we celebrate the society’s anniversary and 250 years of American independence. In the meantime, we have our Fall trainshow in October. See you then!

Just over a week before the StationFest. We got the B&O signal up with help from the power plant, and Tom brought his vintage 1940 Buick! The station is from 1907 and the diesel from 1957. Come see more at the classic car cruise that we will host at the StationFest on Saturday, July 12.
