For those affected by Lake Alfred and you want your semen stored in South Florida please read!


Attention breeders affected by Lake Alfred Animal Hospital’s recent announcement.

If you have frozen semen currently stored at Lake Alfred Animal Hospital and are looking for a storage option closer to South Florida, Palm Beach K9 Reproduction Mobile Services is able to provide frozen semen storage.

If you’re interested in transferring your semen from Lake Alfred, or if you’re looking to coordinate a shared transport (“hitch a ride”) with others bringing semen to Palm Beach or Broward County, please reach out to Andrea at Palm Beach K9 Reproductive Mobile Services as soon as possible.

With multiple breeders potentially needing transfers, coordinating transportation may help reduce costs and make the process easier for everyone.

Please feel free to share this post with anyone who may be affected by Lake Alfred’s decision to discontinue reproductive services and frozen semen storage.

Just a reminder to those who live in Palm Beach County ( and those who come to our events), that the PBCAC&C will be holding a public comments meeting to their proposed changes next Saturday, JULY 11, 10am-12pm. Vista Center Room 47-502300 N Jog Road West Palm Beach. These changes will affect the Hobby Breeder among other things and we will need all the support of the club members.
Most notably, a decrease from 2 to now 1 litter per year and an inspection before renewal.

From the president of the Fort Lauderdale Dog Club, Inc…

The 2026 South Florida Classic Cluster marks my last show in my second year of my two-year term as President of the Fort Lauderdale Dog Club.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Palm Beach County Dog Fanciers Association for the opportunity to cluster together and present this event to the community. Our members were met with a professional, hospitable, and genuinely welcoming group. I don’t know what the future holds, but I sincerely hope it is bright for both of our organizations…I would do it again in a heartbeat.

A huge thank you as well to our exhibitors, judges, sponsors, breeders, ring stewards, vendors, The American Kennel Club, the AKC Museum of the Dog, spectators, volunteers, venue staff, our superintendent, Foy Trent and our presenting sponsor La Mesa RecVan, and our sponsor Farmina. Your support and dedication made this event possible.

To our members (past, present, and future?) that were a part of planning, organizing, and implementing a show of this magnitude…we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you!
